The Care Certificate is the expected standard for anyone working in health and social care in England. Standard 16 was added to the Care Certificate framework to reflect the growing importance of supporting people with learning disabilities and autism in all health and care settings. The Health and Care Act 2022 made Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training a legal requirement for all CQC-regulated providers — and Standard 16 is directly aligned to this.
